An offline browser for websites done by means of automatic archiving of all viewed web pages.
Pros: The WebAssistant is a Proxy that serves as an offline browser by automatically archiving every web page that you visit. This process is done automatically and does not require user input to select which web pages to save. This archiving (and therefore) caching also improves the online browsing experience by marginally speeding up the browsing process (for example a lot of heavy content such as images etc. does not need to be downloaded every time a page is viewed). Serving as an offline browser for the web pages and websites that you visit, it also keeps things current by automatically updating the archived pages the next you time connect to the Internet. The archive can be shared across multiple machines so that other users are also able to access a larger pool of archived/saved web pages. Web sites can also be saved to a CD/DVD or other backup material. Bookmark and favorites are also available offline – therefore there is almost no perceptible difference between online and offline browsing experience.
It has a clean interface and browsing can be done through your native, favorite browser – it is compatible with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and more.
Cons: The fact that it archives everything that you visit is an advantage and a disadvantage. You have to clean frequently to keep only the things that you need. Offline browsing is not necessary for everyone, especially these days.
Overall: At least 4 stars. Nice, clean software, but for users who specifically require this capability.
So is cool!!
